Your league is more than a label on the setup screen. It first selects the curated player pool used to build the club-season squads on the wheel. A single-league run keeps every spin inside that competition, while the era filter decides which of those seasons are eligible. You are choosing the set of names, registered positions, alternate positions, ratings, and club connections from which the XI can be assembled. The formation and future spins then determine which parts of that set become useful.

The same choice also selects the opponent pool for the completed team. The season engine takes 19 opponent entries from the selected competition, gives you one home and one away fixture against each, and shuffles the 38 matches. All leagues combines the five opponent lists before that selection. These are game pools, not claims that one real competition is stronger than another. Choose a league for the particular drafting problem and football conversation it creates, not for a promised result.

The Premier League pool is a focused choice if you want the wheel to move among English club seasons. Its curated squads include different seasons from clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, alongside many other teams that appeared in the competition. A spin lands on one specific club and season rather than on a permanent best-of roster, so the available decision changes when the same club returns from another year.

Approach the pool by reading the squad actually revealed. Do not assume that an English selection automatically means a certain pace, strength, or tactical style; those stereotypes are not rules in 38-0. Look instead at the candidates recorded in that club-season, the roles still open in your formation, and the exact or compatible assignments the interface offers. The corresponding season schedule draws its opposition from the Premier League opponent list, but a familiar badge does not make any individual scoreline predictable.

Choose La Liga when you want a draft built from the Spanish competition’s curated club-season records. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético, Sevilla, Valencia, Villarreal, Athletic Club, Real Sociedad, and other sides appear across the pool. That variety matters because the wheel may present an immediately recognisable group or a season in which the useful answer is a less celebrated specialist. The league selection sets the boundary; it does not reserve every spin for the most famous clubs or players.

Judge each La Liga squad with the same concrete questions you would use elsewhere. Is there a goalkeeper while that slot is still empty? Does a full-back have an explicit alternate role? Would a central player protect a scarce formation slot? The game does not encode a general claim that La Liga football is more technical, attacking, or suitable for a particular shape. Its difference comes from the actual club-season candidates available to you and the La Liga entries used to build the fictional schedule.

The Serie A option draws from curated Italian club seasons including Juventus, Inter, Milan, Roma, Napoli, Lazio, Atalanta, Fiorentina, and a wider set of competitors. Some club names vary across seasons in the source material, but every wheel result still identifies the team and year attached to that roster. That season context is important: you are not choosing from one merged squad for a club, and reputation from a different year cannot fill a position that the current reveal does not contain.

Serie A should not be treated as a shortcut to an automatically defensive XI. The simulator reads the players you select, their recorded roles and attributes, their placement in the formation, and the chemistry of the completed group. A draft can become unbalanced in any league if you collect famous attackers while postponing specialist jobs. Use the Italian pool when its clubs and eras are the debate you want, then let the live formation requirements—not a league stereotype—guide each selection.

A Bundesliga run keeps the draft among German club seasons. The pool includes Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Schalke, Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and other teams across the supported years. As in every league, only the revealed club-season roster is available on a spin. A star associated with that club may belong to another season, while a flexible option in the current squad may solve two remaining roles at exact fit.

Do not select the Bundesliga because of a claim that its pool is inherently faster, more intense, or easier to score with. Those broad descriptions are not game mechanics. Select it because you want to build from its particular set of club-season squads and face an opponent schedule drawn from its league list. During the draft, compare position coverage and the vacancies that would remain after the pick. During the season, read the outcome as one stochastic run rather than a verdict on German football.

Ligue 1 offers curated seasons from Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, Marseille, Lyon, Lille, Bordeaux, Nice, Rennes, Saint-Étienne, Lens, and many more clubs in the dataset. That breadth means a run is not simply a repeated choice among one or two headline teams. The wheel can expose different levels of familiarity, which makes careful reading valuable: the candidate card gives you the club, season, registered position, alternate positions, and—in Classic mode—the game rating needed for the current decision.

Avoid turning that breadth into a claim that Ligue 1 is primarily a development league or that its players have a predictable quality. 38-0 does not rank the five competitions objectively. The meaningful distinction is the roster material in this pool and the league-specific opponent entries used after the XI is complete. If you know these club seasons well, the pool can reward that knowledge; if you do not, Classic mode and the visible fit information give you enough structure to learn through the draft.

All leagues loads the five player pools together, allowing one XI to cross national boundaries. A spin can move from a Premier League club-season to a Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, or Ligue 1 squad later in the same run. This is the natural option for a broad European dream-team argument, for testing how well a formation handles a larger variety of candidates, or for playing without committing to one domestic competition before the first spin.

A larger pool creates more possible combinations, but it does not guarantee a higher-rated XI or a better season. You still receive one club-season squad at a time, make one selection from a spin, work within the same position rules, and manage only three rerolls across the draft. Club-based chemistry follows the same rules, and there is no extra bonus simply for mixing leagues. The season then chooses 19 entries from the combined opponent lists; it does not play every supported club or calculate an official cross-league table.

Run a controlled comparison. Keep the mode, era, and formation fixed, then draft once in each league you are curious about. Record where the decisions became difficult: which specialist role stayed open, when a flexible player protected the shape, and whether a reroll was spent because the squad lacked a useful vacancy. Those observations reveal the experience of the current curated pools more honestly than declaring a winner from the biggest names you happened to see.

Compare the process before comparing the final points. The simulated schedule and scorelines contain random selections and sampling, so one high or low finish cannot establish an objective league ranking. If a pool was enjoyable, repeat it with a different formation or era and see how the available club seasons interact with the new jobs. The right league is the one that creates the question you want to answer: a focused domestic XI, an unfamiliar scouting test, or an all-leagues crossover with more combinations to manage.
