This page explains what 38-0 stores, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Effective: July 26, 2026
Overview
38-0 is a free, unofficial football draft game. You can play without creating an account. Some features use browser storage, anonymous analytics, or server-side records so that the game can remember an identity, save a completed season, power leaderboards, and create shareable links.
We do not sell personal information. This policy distinguishes services that are active today from advertising features that may be enabled after the site is approved by an advertising provider.
Information collected automatically
When Google Analytics is configured, the site loads Google Analytics 4 after the page becomes interactive. It may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser characteristics, referral source, and interaction events. We use this information in aggregate to understand which pages and game flows are useful and where the experience needs improvement.
Google processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy policies. Browser settings, privacy tools, and Google's available opt-out controls can limit this collection.
Browser storage and anonymous identity
For players who do not sign in, 38-0 creates a random identifier in localStorage. A nickname you choose can be stored beside it. These values allow an anonymous player to return to a leaderboard or challenge without providing an email address. They are not designed to reveal your real-world identity.
Temporary challenge and draft state may be stored in sessionStorage so an in-progress flow can survive navigation within the current browser session. You can clear local and session storage through your browser. Private-browsing modes or blocked storage may prevent some identity and challenge features from persisting.
Optional Google sign-in
Signing in is optional. If you choose Google sign-in, the authentication service can provide an account identifier, name, email address, profile image, and the tokens needed to establish the connection. 38-0 stores the account and a database-backed session so it can recognize you and associate completed seasons with your history.
We do not receive your Google password. Google handles the sign-in screen and authentication process. You can continue to use the core draft and simulation without signing in.
Game records, leaderboards, and share links
A completed run can include your chosen nickname, formation, game mode, player identifiers, points, record, goals, awards, and season summary. Signed-in history is linked to the account; anonymous competitive entries are linked to the random browser identifier. Public leaderboard entries display the nickname and football result, not an account email address.
When you create or use a share link, the lineup and result are stored under a short public identifier so anyone with the URL can view them. Do not use a nickname that reveals information you do not want displayed publicly. Records may remain available while they are needed to operate history, sharing, leaderboards, abuse prevention, and the integrity of competitions; 38-0 does not currently promise a fixed retention period.
Advertising and cookies
If advertising is enabled after approval, 38-0 may use Google AdSense or another disclosed advertising provider. Google and participating vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver, measure, limit, and personalize ads, subject to account settings, consent choices, applicable law, and provider policies.
The site already publishes an ads.txtrecord identifying Google as an authorized seller. That file is a public advertising-supply declaration; it does not by itself load ads or place a cookie in your browser. If ads are activated, this policy and the site's consent experience will be updated as required before personalized advertising is served in regulated regions.
You can review or change Google advertising choices at Google Ad Settings. Your browser can also block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect sign-in and other saved features.
Data sharing and service providers
Information is shared only as needed to run the service: for example with hosting and database infrastructure, Google for optional authentication and analytics, and advertising or consent providers if those features are enabled. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or defend the service.
Links to external websites are governed by the privacy practices of those sites. 38-0 does not control how an external service handles information after you leave this domain.

- Play without Google sign-in.
- Clear the 38-0 anonymous identifier and nickname from browser storage.
- Delete or restrict cookies through browser settings.
- Use Google Analytics and advertising controls made available by Google.
- Avoid publishing personal information in a leaderboard nickname.
Questions and policy updates
Questions or privacy requests can be opened through the project's public issue tracker. Because issues are public, do not include passwords, authentication tokens, or other sensitive information. If a private contact method becomes available, this page will be updated.
This policy may change when the game, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published. See the Terms of Use for the rules governing use of the service.
